“26 years of Thunder” Historic racing at Sandown. Special anniversaries being celebrated at the meeting include the 40th anniversary of the Holden Monaro’s first race victory in the 1968 Sandown 3-Hour enduro in the hands of Bob Watson and Tony Roberts and the 50th year of the MG Car Club, with more than 100 MGs participating in the meeting.

The Geelong Revival Motoring Festival will take place on Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of November 2017. This action packed motoring festival, held on Geelong’s picturesque waterfront. See the Web page for details.
|Sunday||26th||Terry Dowel’s Museum at Beaconsfield
We are fortunate in again being able to visit Terry Dowel’s Museum at Beaconsfield. The Museum has a fantastic collection of vehicles including a replica of the Benz 1886 Motor Wagon, Dame Nellie Melba’s 1890’s Phaeton chariot, Betty Davis 1966 Cadillac and lots more to see. Meeting point: Cardinia Park Hotel, 200 Beaconsfield-Emerald Rd, Beaconsfield. Meeting Time: 9.30am for a 9.45pm departure. Arrival time 10.00am.

|Sunday||26th||For Information - Wandin Draught Horse & Old Time Festival
Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead, 71 Wellington Rd, Wandin East. A fun day with working displays, including Draught Horses ploughing the fields, Vintage Machinery, Blacksmiths firing up the forges to make horse shoes. Wood turners and lots more.. From 10.00 – 4pm.
|Sunday||14th||The Costume Designer – Edith Head & Hollywood.
Edith Head is considered the most significant costume designer in film history, and today her name is synonymous with Hollywood costumes. This event brings together more than 70 costumes designed by Head from the 1930s to the 1960s. Venue Bendigo Art Gallery.

This event is open to family and friends. Where: Sugarloaf Reservoir Park, Christmas Hills. Melways Ref Map 273 A2. Arrival time: 10.00am-2.00pm. Travel along the Eltham Yarra Glen Rd (C726), turn into Simpson Rd. Continue on Simpson Rd for about 250 metres, turn left into Ironbark Ridge Picnic area. Continue past the 1st carpark and follow the windy road until you see another car park and BBQ’s. Plenty of shelter and seats. More details in ST/VT.
