Please Note: If your vehicle is on Club Plates remember to always fill in your Log Book when you participate in Events.

Saturday & Sunday5th & 6thWinton Historic Festival of Speed

The 8th Historic Festival of Speed Returns to Winton Motor Raceway long track August 5th & 6th . At the top of the events is the Just Cars Touring Car Cup for Group N Historic Touring Cars, a 50km feature race that sees iconic V8 muscle cars of the 1970s.

Passes are available for members if they would like to attend this event.

Thursday10thFashion Parade at the Creswick Natural Fibres in Daylesford

Enjoy a glass of champagne watching the fashion parade. Parade will commence at 11.00am. The gents have an invitation to check out John Paas’s garage while the ladies enjoy the fashions. Followed by lunch around 12.30. See August Small Torque.

Bumper2Bumper – RCCA Interviews.

Bumper 2 Bumper is a classic car TV show that captures the essence of the classic car, Members will enjoy listening to Club Members members talk about their Rovers.

Visitors and prospective Members most welcome.
Sunday20thRun to Castlemain to catch up with Up The Creek Workshop.

Mechanical restoration & Engineering of vintage & collector cars, including restoration of old Bentleys and other exotic cars – mainly pre-war. Meeting time: 9.15am, arrive in Castlemaine around 10.30am. Lunch at Guilford Stables Tavern, 1.00pm. See ST for details.

Maling Rd, Canterbury. Street display of Classic Cars and bikes. Event will run from 10.00am-3.00pm.

Friday8thRCCA September Monthly Meeting & Annual General Meeting

Ask not what the Club can do for you, but what you can do for your Club. If you would like information on joining the Committee contact the Club's Secretary. The AGM will be followed by the traditional Wine & Cheese tasting.
Sunday17th (TBC)Visit Jack’s Magazine

Jack’s Magazine is located on the Maribyrnong River. This complex opened in 1878, to provide safe storage for bonded gunpowder and explosives imported into the colony of Victoria. Hidden away at the base of an escarpment on the Maribyrnong River, the bluestone walls, magazines and earth mounds of Jack’s Magazine have connections to turning points in Victoria’s history.
Time 11.00am to 12.30pm.

Entries now online. Entries are open to all original cars, motorcycles, vans, trucks and com-mercial vehicles built on or after 1 January 1956 and or or before 31 December 1981. Close date for en-tries is 4th August 2017.

Thursday12thChristmas at the Johnston Collection

Tour of the Johnston Collection Museum of fine and decorative art in East Melbourne, – 10.00-11.30am. Further details to follow in the September VT.

Guest Speaker – Mr Philip Johnstone who is an AOMC Committee member will give a talk on Engine & Registration Records which the AOMC (Australia of Motoring Clubs Inc) has stored in numerous filing cabinets.. Visitors and prospective members most welcome.

Once again the RCCA have the opportunity to display our Rovers.
This display promotes not only the club but the Rover marque.
Sunday15thFourth Annual From Britain to 'Bunna Car Show for Predominantly British made and British make cars, held in Triabunna Tasmania.

Friday20thEvening tour at Vintage Wiring Harness - Ringwood

Paul Vermont has invited the RCCA to inspect his workshop and see how they recreate vehicle motoring looms. 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Further details to follow.

Friday - Sunday10th to 12thHistoric Sandown

“26 years of Thunder” Historic racing at Sandown. Special anniversaries being celebrated at the meeting include the 40th anniversary of the Holden Monaro’s first race victory in the 1968 Sandown 3-Hour enduro in the hands of Bob Watson and Tony Roberts and the 50th year of the MG Car Club, with more than 100 MGs participating in the meeting.

Sunday26thTerry Dowel’s Museum at Beaconsfield

We are fortunate in again being able to visit Terry Dowel’s Museum at Beaconsfield. The Museum has a fantastic collection of vehicles including Tucker and Cord. Further details in the September VT.

April National Rove
The Rover Car Club Of Australia will be hosting the next National Rove. This will be held in the Shepparton area of Victoria from April 27th to 30th, 2018. Latest Application Forms and Proposed Itinerary & Programme of Events now available on Rove Page here.
