For Sale Rover P6 SC

Offered for sale to genuine parties, is my superb P6, 4 speed manual, Rover 2000.

I purchased this car last year from the ORIGINAL owner of 45 years....yes, in 2012, it was a one-owner Rover 2000 , meticulously maintained by its aeronautical engineer owner and was thus in superb all-round condition.

The car is totally rust free with unblemished bodywork/paintwork and excellent brightwork (see pictures). Upon purchase, I RWC’ed the vehicle – work required was fixing one minor engine oil leak and fitting modern, legal, seatbelts. While in my possession, I have carried out the following:
fitted new  diff mountings – (reversing clunk removal)
rebuilt sticking front caliper
new pads front brakes
re-covered top dashboard rail
re-trimmed the seats in genuine leather (see pictures)
re-timed , carb tuning, new plugs – (starts first time every time)

I have owned several P6 Rovers, including a TC and this car is the smoothest, quietist and nippiest 2000 I have ever driven - it is a joy to drive and is how a P6 would have been the day it left the factory. In my opinion, this is one of the best P6's  in the country and can genuinely be described as a collector's item

The car is currently on non-transferable club registration,15858-H . Price $6,990  incuding RWC. Contact Graeme on

Rover 90: 1957 Model For Sale

I have for sale this Genuine Original 1957 model Rover 90.

My brother and I acquired this vehicle off our grandfather (the original owner) approximately 15 years ago. This vehicle has a genuine 47000 miles on the clock, It was purchased in 1957 and used until 1967 at which point it was parked in a shed.

It has all the features available on this model, including electric overdrive 5th gear, tow bar, radio, leather interior etc.

We drove the car to its current location and it has been covered inside a shed ever since. There is a small dent in the RHS front guard and another 1 in the RHS front bumper, the fuel tank is gummed up with something (I think it has something to do with the old fuel being left in there for so many years) and the motor did smoke a bit when we last drove it. It still holds coolant and doesn’t have oil leaks.

The paint is in pretty good condition, there is some minor corrosion in the aluminium and some stone chips. I have all the original papers, books & brochures for the model. For an enthusiast I this would make the ultimate restorer. Please don’t hesitate contact me should you have any further questions.

Car is located in Casterton Vic 3311

Engine Number: 350606421 ; Sale price: $3500 or best offer.

1983 Rover Quintet for Sale

REG: BXR908 ENG No: EL1906983

Much loved car with 127,469 kms, been in family since bought from dealer.

Unfortunately in July last year was involved in a car crash that caused front bumper, grill and bonnet damage. Car has great interior and especially back seat as was rarely used. Mechanically fine as was driven home from the accident. Tires barely used, purchased one month before car accident.

Was hoping to repair the vehicle, but lack of funds means was unable to. Hoping to go to a good home for a restoration or to sell for parts.

$500

For further information on price etc please contact Imre, Blackburn South, Victoria on Ph: 03 9878 5585, Mob: 0433 833 191

Rover P6B

1974 3500(B), Series 2, Automatic - 84,000km on odometer (I can only vouch for the last 40,000). Currently registered but rego Does not come with car, Engine number 45114172D. $7,000 ono

I can’t support both my old Rovers, so sadly one has to go. I bought the car just over 4 years ago from Qld, and have used it as my main car since.

I have greatly enjoyed driving her – and I think the regular driving over the last 4 years has done her a power of good. I have done quite a lot of renovation work (see below). She drives extremely well – a very easy classic to live with. Overall the car presents as an original, ‘well patinated’ example. The relevant technical and condition details are:

Specification:

  • This car has the (better) type 65 BW auto box
  • Power steering
  • Airconditioning has been fitted, but unit professionally removed
  • Period (non-standard) 15" alloy wheels – look good, work well
  • Slightly modified (but rather wonderful sounding) exhaust (no second muffler)
  • CD Player (I also have a UK-spec original radio from a different car, which will be included)
  • Electronic ignition
  • Comes with 3 steering wheels, including ultra-rare original-spec woodgrain (currently fitted)
  • Sheepskin covers on front seats
  • Battery Isolator switch

Condition: Mechanically very good (see work done below) – I have completed several inter-state trips, toured Gippsland and more, without problems

  • The car has been regularly used and serviced to schedule over the past 4 years
  • Lively performer
  • Paint shows age, but can still be made to gleam and the car still gets admiring comments – the colour (often referred to as British Racing Green) always suits old British cars…
  • Interior is reasonable – very usable, but not perfect
  • Headlining good
  • All gauges work – although the clock slows down when the car is standing for a few days
  • Brand new Goodyear tyres at 81,000km

Major work done includes:

  • Full gearbox recondition 40,000 km ago – runs perfectly
  • Full Radiator recore at the same time, transmission cooler replaced
  • Suspension fully re-bushed last year (by Tony Lopiccolo)
  • Rear shocks replaced 3 years ago
  • All electrics working well
  • Power Steering Idler replaced 2012
  • Electronic ignition fitted
  • Alternator and battery replaced 4 years ago
  • Brakes serviced and re-padded about 2 years ago
  • New seatbelts fitted 3-4 years ago
  • Engine mounts replaced, drive shaft re-aligned, seals replaced 2013
  • Throttle linkages reconditioned 2013
  • Water pump replaced 2011

I am 6’4", which means I don’t really fit the normal driving seat – so I have fitted a Toyota Supra seat, which increases the driver’s headroom by about 2" The passenger seat is original. Second Toyota seat and original driver’s seat are included in sale

This is a fully usable car, looks great and has had most of the heavy work done. More than happy to discuss – please call.

The combination of the smooth, gutsy V8, re-bushed suspension and new quality tyres makes for a great driving experience.
