For Sale 1974 P6B project

1974 P6B, the engine is out of it and there is another one as well, both 10.5 to 1 C. The body is straight but in need of work, the interior is very good, NZ assembled P6B 3 speed auto. Current owner purchased the car 2005/2006. It was going ok, he put reconditioned brake calipers on the back.

About 2008 the power booster failed and all the brake fluid went through the motor, ruined its compression. New set of rings installed, but there was still no compression, car was put aside.

It has a standard bore, the crankshaft is 010 oversize, the cam shaft is in good order. The chassis number is 4530388E. Engine numbers 42528650C and 42529787C. It was sold new in Adelaide 2/7/75.

Asking price for car and two engines is $2,000. Car is in Zeehan, Tasmania.

For Sale 1972 Rover 2000 TC

I’m selling my 1972 Rover 2000TC (to make space for future playing about with a P4). It’s got an original 121,000 miles on the clock and is currently driving and running beautifully. I’ve fitted a thermo fan for summer traffic, and a diff from a V8 car for highway cruising. It now turns 2500rpm at 100kph, compared to the original 3000rpm. New in the motor are the water pump, the pistons and rings, the exhaust valves and all valve guides. And I have a big pile of spares to go with the car, including various new parts. It’s not perfect of course. The next jobs it could do with would be some repainting, as the paint on the bonnet is badly crazed, and it sounds like it’s nearly time for a new upper timing chain, which is noisy when cold, though fine when warm. All in all, it’s a perfectly useable and nice driving club car as it stands, with enough bits of improvement needed to keep a new owner entertained.

Price: $6500

Current registration (Club Plates non transferrable): 10790-H
