Summary of Club Events Calendar. In addition we also list some non RCCA organised Events that we are aware of for information to Members and Classic Car visitors.

For full details of Club activities please see Club Magazines, Viking Torque and Small Torque or contact Club Events Co-ordinator. In all cases if you wish to attend an Event please notify the Club Events Co-ordinator, so arrangements can be made for suitable parking, tickets or catering as appropriate. Club Events Co-ordinator email.

Please Note: If your vehicle is on Club Plates remember to always fill in your Log Book when you participate in Events.

Guest speaker will be RCCA Member Mike Allfrey who will be talking about his Jowett Jupiter.
The presentation will be about fifty-six years of owning a Jowett Jupiter. What Mike has had to do to it from time to time and the uses the car has been used for. There will be some sporting history, technical issues and modifications along the way.

Visitors and prospective members most welcome to come along.

Melbourne Museum – Revolutions: Records & Rebels

Day trip to see Melbourne Museum’s Revolutions: Records & Rebels exhibition which looks at the late 1960s as a moment when youth culture drove idealism, motivating people to come together and question the establishment across every area of society. Cost $29.00 non-member – concession tickets are available. Meeting point: Outside the Melbourne Museum under the canopy, near the front doors. Time: 10.15am. Entry into exhibition 10.30am. Followed by lunch in the Museum.

Annual RCCA Dinner – Club Rooms Hawthorn @ Club Rooms

Annual Club Dinner at the Club Rooms.

Members will only have to bring along drink & glasses. Crockery, cutlery and table napkins are all provided. Time: 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Uniformed staff will look after the buffet.

Loel Thomson’s Costume Collection

By popular demand another visit has been organised.

The Melbourne Costume Collection is a privately owned collection of Australian costumes, jewellery and accessories dating back to 1788. Bryan and Loel Thomson, have dedicated their time and resources to the collection and preservation and display of two hundred years of Australian fashion.

Bryan also has a small collection of motorbikes.

Cost $5.00 per person. Tour will take approx 2 hours. Meeting time 9.45am.

Guest speakers – Ken & Sue Slater will talk about their world travels in an MGBGT.
Ken & Sue travelled with predominantly 5 other MGBs but were joined in some regions by other MGs. It will be an interesting talk with slides, talking about their trials and tribulations, on side repairs and camaraderie with local groups in various countries.

2020 National Rove South Australia

2020 National Rove will be hosted by Rover Car Club of South Australia Inc. The Rove will be held around the Fleurieu Peninsula centred in historic Victor Harbor, over the weekend of October 23 to 26, 2020.
