Monthly Meeting in Club Rooms
Guest Speaker – Chris Kershaw – A presentation on Model Boats and Ships.
Chris will give a brief history of model boats and ships and their use in art, science, religion and recreation, then explore the hobby today: the wide variety of models to build for display, or for operation for fun or competition, and scale modelling for all skill levels from ready-to-run to museum quality scratch building. Chris will then give a pictorial summary of the building of his model of the Steam Yacht Ena, which is part of the Heritage Fleet in Sydney and has been a colourful part of Australia’s maritime history since 1900.
Visitors and prospective members most welcome.
